Habitat:
The dominant tree along Spring Creek at the old railroad (now a bike trail), pastured many years ago, within broad valley of Pine River and within its floodplain. The trees had been cut off and now all the Salix are pollarded and multi-stemmed.
Occurrence Remarks:
Tree 12 m tall, 15 cm in diameter. This same individual collected in staminate flower on 25 April 2015 under no. Nee 62091. Voucher for wood specimen, MADw. Twigs very brittle at base. Leaves glaucous beneath.
