Floodplain of river, with Alnus incana ssp. rugosa and abundant invasive Lonicera morrowii/L. tatarica complex.
Occurrence Remarks:
Treelet 4.5 m tall, 10 cm in diameter. Voucher for wood specimen, MADw. Cutting the stem immediately releases the characteristic unpleasant odor of Caprifolicaceae and Valerianaceae, and the wood retaining this odor. Bark finely furrowed and broken into short scales. Flowers white, lightly musty fragrant.
