Habitat: Along lower part of dirt road up to the ridge, through woods with Quercus alba.
Occurrence Remarks: Tree 9 m tall, 20 cm in diameter. In bud the petals are deep pink on the outside; petals nearly white in anthesis. Perhaps originally planted here, but more likely sporadic escapes from old farm apple orchard on adjacent ridge to the northeast. [or correctly called M. domestica - M. Nee, 2014]
