Habitat: Large opening in black oak barrens; low undulating sandy terrain. Vegetation a mixture of sand barrens, oak barrens, and dry prairie spp.: Ambrosia psilostachya, Comandra umbellata, Artemisia ludoviciana, Carex siccata, Danthonia spicata, Galium boreale, Hesperostipa spartea, Houstonia longifolia, Koeleria macrantha, Lespedeza capitata, Lobelia spicata, Monarda fistulosa, M. punctata, Rhus glabra, Schizachyrium scoparium, Symphyotrichum ericoides, Veronicastrum virginicum, etc.
Occurrence Remarks: This taxon is a "good" species! First opening south-southeast of canoe landing, which is at 44 45.9220, 091 44.9466.
