Habitat: Extensive black oak barrens on low undulating sandy terrain. Vegetation mostly a mixture of sand barrens, oak barrens, & dry prairie spp.: Ambrosia psilostachya, Amphicarpaea bracteata, Baptisia alba v. macrophylla, B. bracteata v. glabrescens, Bouteloua curtipendula, Eragrostis spectabilis, Erigeron strigosus, Hesperostipa spartea, Lithospermum carolinense, Monarda punctata v. villicaulis, Polygonatum biflorum, Potentilla simplex, Rhus glabra, Solidago canadensis, & Symphyotrichum ericoides.
Occurrence Remarks: Sprouts only, top-filled by prescribed fire.
