Habitat:
Upland Forest on sandy bank on the E side of the Brule River and W of Len Root Road. Growing in Boreal Forest in upland sandy boreal woods formed on bank of the Brule River with Abies balsamea, Pinus strobus, Alnus incana, Aster macrophylla, Carex laxiflora, Equisetum arvense, Galium asprellum, Onoclea sensibilis, Pteridium aqualinum, Viola pubescens, etc.
