Habitat:
Young woods, on E-facing slope, with Carya cordiformis, Tilia americana, Fraxinus americana, Ostrya virginiana, with Podophyllum peltatum.
Occurrence Remarks:
Shrub 4 m. tall, 6 cm. in diameter; branching ± whorled; twigs olive-green, the pith white; bark smooth. Inflorescences with presentation very similar to that of no. 60074, Viburnum lentago also blooming here now; buds creamy; open flowers white, very lightly fragrant. Voucher for wood specimen, MADw.
