Habitat: Prairie remanant on steep, southeast-facing slope now becoming overgrown with Euphorbia esula and seedlings of Juglans nigra, Ulmus and Quercus macrocarpa. Also present: Sisyrinchium, Amorpha canescens, Toxicodendron radicans, Ambrosia artemisiifolia, Apocynum androsaemifolium, Chenopodium album, Asclepias syriaca, Carya ovata, Physalis, Medicago, Rhus, Asclepias tuberosa, Schizachyrium scoparium, Andropogon gerardii, Tragopogon.
