Georeference Remarks: Latitude/Longitude was derived from the Township, Range, Section location. This causes an imprecision.
Habitat: Weedy sandstone outcropping on a steep hillside, by telephone pole.
Occurrence Remarks: Plants in < 2 x 2 m sq. area could be one clone. Primary Sampling Unit (PSU) 5, "Population" 4, individual 1. Numerous flowering stalks in clone but only this one in anthesis. Voucher for chromosome counts of "Popn. 1"-1A & "Popn. 5"-8: 2n = 22 II, 10 & 7 cell counted, respectively (1971 Mar 20 & 23 and 1971 Apr 3 & 1972 Apr 1, respectively). PSU 5, "Populations" 1 (in part), 4 & 5 form one biological population; mostly well past anthesis and shedding fruit, with flowering stalks aready gone, and only freakish plants in anthesis & these rare. ("Populations"" 1 (in part), 2 & 3 are true Packera plattensis.)
