Habitat: Found growing in exposed mud/false bottom exposure. Associates include Eriocaulon septangulare, Nuphar variegatum, Nyphmea odorata, Juncus pelocarpus, Scirpus smithii, Brasina schreberi, Pontederia cordata, Sparganium eurycarpum.
