Habitat: White cedar/tamarack swamp. Growing in association with Toxicodendron vernix, Ilex verticillata, Larix laricina, Picea mariana, and Thjua occidentalis.
Occurrence Remarks: Small tree to 25 ft. with opposite purpulish-redish leaves and dark bluish-black berries with red stems. Digital photos taken.
