Transition zone between degraded dry prairie and oak savanna with much woody encroachment and herbaceous weed invasion, in middle of S-facing crumbling sandstone slope. Assoc.: Amphicarpaea bracteata, Carex normalis, Elymus trachycaulus ssp. subsecundus, Muhlenbergia frondosa, Helianthus strumosus, Monarda fistulosa, Quercus alba, Q. velutina, Verbascum thapsus, and Zanthoxylum americanum.
