Locality: United States, Wisconsin, Dane, Waunakee. Ripp Prairie, W side of Madigan Rd. between (0.5 mi. E of) Hwy 113 & (2.5 mi. W of) CTH I, 3.2 mi. (airline) due N of Waunakee, 13 mi. (airline) NNW of central Madison.

Georeference Remarks: Latitude/Longitude was derived from the Township, Range, Section location. This causes an imprecision.
Habitat: Lower edge of dry-mesic prairie on N-facing slope, 5--10 yds. above corn field, associated with mostly native shrubs and herbs: Poa compressa (dominant), Agrostis gigantea (abundant), Cornus racemosa, Euphorbia corollata, Euthamia graminifolia (very abundant), Helianthus pauciflorus, Lobelia spicata, Dichanthelium leibergii, Heterostipa spartea, Ratibida pinnata, and Solidago canadensis s.l. Small population in lower middle part of best quality, eastern third of prairie, right above where it becomes overgrown with Lonicera, Rhamnus, and Rubus.
