Habitat: Narrow gravelly edge of trail in semishade of strip of beat-up Populus tremuloides woodland; assoc.: Equisetum arvense, Fraxinus pennsylvanica seeedlings, Oenothera rosettes, Poa pratensis, Sisyrinchium montanum, and Solidago gigantea. Moist open, weedy and grassy, right-of-way between trail surface and bounding woodland. Rare.
