Habitat: Dry Quercus velutina woods. On rocky slope of crumbling sandstone, upper half of S side of bluff; very open, with Acer rubrum, Betula papyrifera, Prunus virginiana, Rhus typhina, Carex aenea, Lysimachia quadrifolia, Convolvulus spithameus, Oryzopsis pungens, & Antennaria parlinii. Frequent here, rare on N side of bluff.
