Habitat: Small eutrophic kettle pond with no outlet, badly flooded from spring and summer rainfall, several feet higher than normal. Floating mats of marsh vegetation near margins, dominated by Echinochloa, with Cyperus, Typha, Eleocharis, Polygonum, Sparganium. Appears to have taken over areas of drowned Typha and Scirpus fluviatilus.
