Locality: United States, Wisconsin, Crawford, Steuben. N side of Wis. Hwy. 179, 0.3 mi. E of Morovits Hollow Rd., 2.7 mi. (airline distance) due W of Steuben, 15 mi. (airline) due NE of Prairie du Chien.

Georeference Remarks: Latitude/Longitude was derived from the Township, Range, Section location. This causes an imprecision.
Habitat: Open grassy, S-facing, roadside bank, in semishade along lower edge of junky, 2nd-growth woods (mostly Populus grandidentata and Prunus serotina). Assoc.: Helianthus strumosus, Melilotus sp., Poa pratensis, Ratibida pinnata (rare), Symphyotrichum cordifolium, and S. laeve var. laeve, little else. Locally abundant, forming a colony 25 yds. long X 3 yds. wide. Population discovered by John Diekelmann.
