Habitat:
Prairie vegetation on upper edge of Wisconsin River floodplain, long used as mowing meadow. Assoc.: Poa pratensis-dominant, with Acer saccharinum seedlings, Polygonum sagittatum, Potentilla norvegica, and Thalictrum dasycarpum. West edge of low sand ridge, immediately above swale. Two big old plants plus one rosette all next to one another.
