Assoc.: Ambrosia trifida, Angelica atropurpurea, Impatiens capensis, Phalaris arundinacea, Sambucus canadensis, and Stellaria aquatica. Forming a tangled mass, twining on saplings and coarse herbs and smothering and damaging them under a solid blanket of leaves and stems by the sheer force of its weight.
