Habitat: Growing in rich soils of river watershed along with Quercus bicolor, Prunus serotina, Acer saccharinum, Malus ioensis, Crategus mollis, Acer negundo, Vitis riparia, Phalaris arundinacea, Echinocystis lobata, Ribes americanum, and Cornus amomum subsp. obliqua.
Occurrence Remarks: Herbarium specimen represents a bisexual green ash. Population consists of both red and green ash. Voucher of Ames 30151 for the USDA-ARS North Central Regional Plant Introduction Station, Ames, IA and the U.S. National Plant Germplasm System.
