Habitat:
Sandy clay loam. Associates include Athyrium filix-femina, Osmunda claytonii, Aster lateriflorus, Hieracium aurantiacum, Anthoxanthum odorata, Leucanthemum vulgare, and scattered Prunus serotina seedlings. Locally occasional to abundant along both sides of gravel road, and across several acres of adjacent wet meadows, old fields, and open woods. These on edge of woods just south of road. (UWSP, WIS)
