Habitat:
Mucky clay soil, in full sun most of the day. With scattered Typha glauca, Agrostis gigantea, and Aster lateriflorus. Forming very dense, nearly monotypic patches in wet ditch. These in shallow standing water next to culvert. (DUL, UWSP, WIS)
