Locality: United States, Wisconsin, Iowa, Symon property, 5469 Weaver Rd., between (2 mi. E of) Wis. Hwy 23 & (1 mi. W of) CTH Z, 4.3 mi. (airline) NNE of entrance to Governor Dodge State Park
Verbatim Coordinates: T07N R03E sec14 SW4SE4;
Habitat: Up and over the top of a steep WSW-facing, wooded hillside; soil thin and rocky, with a base of broken rock (chert, other limestone and quartz). Assoc.: Anemone, Cypripedium parviflorum v. pubescens, Dichanthelium, Helianthus, and Triosteum aurantiacum. Population covers roughly one acre, appears healthy, and is actively spreading.
