Habitat:
Northern wet forest dominated by Larix (open canopy), Picea mariana, with lots of alder in understory. Carex trisperma is abundant & other common species include Vaccinium myrtilloides, V. oxycoccus, Ledum groenlandicum, Chamaedaphne calyculata, Rubus pubescens, etc. Four small, non-flowering stems & one flowering stem observed. [Mixed with 663 Epilobium palustre, q.v.]
