Habitat: Growing in poor fen with scattered Larix and Picea 8-20 ft tall. Betula pumila and Ledum groenlandicum are common to abundant with 45% cover Smilacina trifolia, Carex chordorrhiza, C. stricta are common. Carex species overall make up about 30% cover. Sphagnum has 95-100% cover. Habitat is inundated. One patch noted with 4 clumps, in early fruit.
