Habitat: White cedar swamp along stream south of lake. With Thuja occidentalis, Picea mariana, Fraxinus nigra, Alnus incana, Sphagnum, Carex stricta, Cypripedium pubescens, C. cephalantha, C. trisperma, C. leptalea, Mitella nuda, Coptis trifolia. Uncommon. Scattered sterile stems under dense cedar, fertile plants in blow downs.
