Habitat: Intermittently wet swale alongside low level sand ridge, upper terrace of river floodplain, filled with sedge meadow vegetation: Amorpha fruticosa, Carex buxbaumii, C. conoidea, C. tenera, Erigeron annuus, Eutrochium maculatum, Galium obtusum, Juncus dudleyi, Lathyrus palustris, Onoclea sensibilis, Potentilla norvegica, P. simplex, Salix petiolaris, Spartina pectinata, Spiraea alba, & Thalictrum dasycarpum. Cespitose clump, elliptical in cross-section (20 X 10 cm at base), with 28 sterile plus 17 fertile shoots.
