Habitat:
Clay soil, in nearly full sun. Dense surrounding vegetation includes Solidago gigantea, Calamagrostis canadensis, Cirsium arvense, and Valeriana officinalis, along with scattered Alnus rugosa and Salix petiolaris. Forming dense patches on edge of shrub swamp. Heads with golden-yellow disks and white rays. Sheet 1 of 2.
