Habitat: In shallow water and on recently-exposed mucky shore of shallow excavated pool. Pool borders extensive, disturbed Typha wetlands. Mucky, sulphurous, organic substrate. Full sun. With Typha latifolia, Brasenia schreberi, and Potamogeton natans. Scirpus cyperinus, Phalaris arundinacea, and Lythrum salicaria common along adjacent shoreline. Common.
