Habitat: Moist, clay soil, full sun. With scattered Populus tremuloides suckers, Diervilla lonicera, Apocynum androsaemifolium, Carex arctata, Aralia nudicaulis, Aster macrophyllus, and Agrostis gigantea. Common along this stretch of road. Flowerheads yellow.
