Habitat:
Transition zone above upper edge of creek-bottom sedge meadow and lowest edge of oak savanna on W-facing slope, also in the lower part of the savanna itself (from where collected). Assoc.: Amorpha canescens, Bromus inermis, Comandra umbellata, Crataegus sprouts, Erigereron strigosus, Panicum oligosanthes, Plantago lanceolata, Potentilla recta, Prunus serotina sprouts, and Schizachyrium scoparium. Large clones; primocanes erect, 0.6--1.8 m tall; floricanes arching, 1.0--1.9 m long. Between 1/3 and 1/2 way upslope above the creek. Sheet 6 of 6.
