Habitat:
Narrow (2 yds. wide), shallow (water 3--8 in. deep) shoreline wet marsh with many wood frogs; assoc.: Carex pellita (in water!), C. stricta, Lemna minor, Potamogeton natans, Salix eriocephala, Scirpus tabernaemontani, Stuckenia pectinata, and Typha angustifolia.
Occurrence Remarks:
Eleocharis erythropoda X E. palustris (?; basal sterile scale less completely encircling base of spike than usual). N shore of 3rd in a series of ponds excavated long ago to attract wildlife for hunting purposes.
