Habitat:
Edge of young brush-filled woodland (thicket) at base of NE-facing slope in head of tiny valley. Prunus serotina & Acer negundo dominants (canopy trees) over shrub layer (Acer negundo & Juglans nigra saplings, Cornus racemosa, Rhus glabra, Vitis riparia, Xanthoxylum americanum) admixed with some rank weedy herbs (Solanum dulcamara, Solidago canadensis). Wings on outer tepals notched and/or crisped.
