Habitat: Mucky depression in forested wetland, dryish at this season, undoubtedly with standing water in spring or during downpours; rooted in semi-rotted organic layer. Overstory: Fraxinus nigra dominant, with F. pennsylvanica, Betula papyrifera, B. allegheniensis, Acer rubrum, and Tilia americana. Assoc. in depression one to few plants each of: Acer rubrum seedlings, Boehmeria cylindrica, Carex lupulina, Dryopteris carthusiana, Glyceria striata, Impatiens capensis, Ribes cf. hirtella, Solidago gigantea, and Thelypteris palustris, little if anything else. Right side of boardwalk as one enters area. Sheet 2 of 2.
