Formerly grazed (and/or cultivated?) (up to ca. 50--60 yrs. ago) wetland along tiny, straightened, W-flowing, spring-fed streamlet, supporting semi-natural, calcareous wet prairie; rich dense vegetation, sedge dominated but hardly tussocky and full of herbs. Assoc.: Arnoglossum plantagineum, Cornus stolonifera (sprouts), Eleocharis elliptica, Euthamia graminifolia (abundant), Helianthus grosseserratus (abundant), Juncus torreyi (occasional), Liatris pycnostachya (common), Pentaphylloides floribunda, Pycnanthemum virginianum (frequent), Solidago riddellii, and Symphyotrichum ericoides. Achenes falling more readily than in Eleocharis elliptica.
