Habitat: Formerly grazed (and/or cultivated?) (up to ca. 50--60 yrs. ago) wetland along tiny, straightened, W-flowing, spring-fed streamlet, supporting semi-natural, calcareous wet prairie; rich dense vegetation, sedge dominated but hardly tussocky and full of herbs. Assoc.: Arnoglossum plantagineum, Cornus stolonifera (sprouts), Eleocharis elliptica, Euthamia graminifolia (abundant), Helianthus grosseserratus (abundant), Juncus torreyi (occasional), Liatris pycnostachya (common), Pentaphylloides floribunda, Pycnanthemum virginianum (frequent), Solidago riddellii, and Symphyotrichum ericoides.
