Habitat:
Tiny strip of beautiful wet-mesic prairie 90 ft. long X 25 ft. wide, upper edge of bottomland. Assoc.: Achillea millefolium, Calystegia sepium, Carex annectens, C. conoidea, C. tenera var. tenera, Desmodium canadense, Dichanthelium boreale, Gentiana andrewsii, Hypoxis hirsuta, Platanthera flava var. herbiola, Potentilla simplex, Poa palustris, Rudbeckia hirta, Stellaria longifolia var. longifolia, Solidago canadensis, & Symphyotrichum novae-angliae. Two clumps collected, one with 1 fertile culm & 5 sterile shoots (#14376, with smaller spks.), one with 13 fertile and 22 sterile shoots (#14381, w/ larger spks.). Per. (#14381) 3.4--3.7 X 1.7--1.9 mm, L/W = 1.8--2.2.
