Habitat: Fine if small stand of upland hardwoods on relatively deep soil (Miami Silt Loam). Acer saccharum (1 dom)-Fagus grandifolia (2 dom.), with Tilia americana, also Ostrya virginiana and Prunus serotina; Tsuga canadensis in one wetter area.
