Habitat: Narrow sand beaches between shoreline and sea wall; infrequently with primary and secondary dunes and swales. Frequently dominated by beach grass. Modern beach next to mowed swale. Hastate orache (Atriplex prostrata) sprawling over limey, sand beach. Sea-rocket (Cakile lacustris) 10-15 plants, full bloom to senescent, all with fruit. Bidens spp., Polygonum lapathifolium, Oenothera biennis, Argentina anserina, Solidago canadensis.
Occurrence Remarks: With fibric root masses (50-75 cm diameter) with a trailing tap root. Wpt 248.
