Habitat: Open sand within a well-developed dune complex, swales and blowouts, infrequently with bands of woody cover, and frequently dominated by beach grass. Sparse vegetative cover at edge of open sand beach and beach grass (Ammophila breviligulata). Dune thistle (Cirsium pitcheri). Thick-spike wheat-grass (Elytrigia dasystichya ssp psammophila) within sparse vegetation cover. Lymegrass, European Dunegrass (Leymus arenarius). Spotted knapweed (Centaurea maculosa) common.
Occurrence Remarks: 100's plants. Elytrigia is the dominant local cover (5-10% cover). Wpt 203.
