Tall outcrops of a limestone escarpment bordering a broad limestone shelf along the modern shoreline. Often with wet local depressions, fissures and cracks. Low hollows of limestone flats near shoreline of lake. Depressions and large fractures on limestone flats, which form a low escarpment. Calamagrostis stricta on limey sand and silt. Threatened by reed canary grass, which seems to be crowding small, available microhabitat. Gentianopsis procera, Euthamia graminifolia, Lycopus americanus, Argentina [label truncated by printer?].
Forms two distinct colonies (3x3 m and 1x4 m areas). Wpt 83.
