Habitat: Tall outcrops of a limestone escarpment bordering a broad limestone shelf along the modern shoreline. Often with wet local depressions, fissures and cracks. Aster dumosus wet sand above water line in rocky, cobbly depression. Carex hystericinna, Euthamia graminifolia, Polygonum lapathifolium, Impatiens spp., Agrostis scabra, Rudbeckia hirta, Cornus sericeus, Carex.
