Habitat:
Limestone escarpment comprised of a narrow, low shelf next to the broad flats of silty sand and cobblestones along modern shoreline. Cracks of limestone shelf adjacent to lake. Deschampsia scattered cespitose clumps, mostly past fruit (shattering). Spotted knapweed (Centaurea maculosa) present on cracks of limestone. Aster lanceolatus, Polygonum lapathifolium, Hypericum spp., Lycopus americanus.
