Habitat: Well developed primary dune and swale with fore-slope of secondary dune comprised mostly of open sand. Thick-spike wheat-grass on slope of secondary dunes. In partially open sand. Open sand on managed beach or blowout and swale. At margins between bare sand and dense Ammophila cover. Also observed along beach grass.
Occurrence Remarks: Within a 5x15m area band having 5-10% cover. Large population 100-200 flowering culms, 25% flowering/fruiting and 75% sterile adults. Also, in small patches of scattered stems observed infrequently along beach grass. Wpt 61.
