Low limestone beach and/or tall limestone escarpment along shoreline, occasionally with rocks and cobblestones. Limestone outcrop/shelf on shore of lake. Flat surface slightly higher than water level. Depressions on uplands filled with sand. Deschampsia within fissures. On limestone, growing within dry cracks and fissures; also, within sand-filled depressions. Salix exigua, Salix eriocephala, Salix serissima, Populus tremuloides saplings, Solidago canadensis, Poa palustris, Argentina anserina, Carex stricta, Aster spp., Populus balsamifera saplings, Betula cordifolia, Solidago.
