Habitat:
Retired Xmas tree plantation now reverting to pine barrens. Dominants: Andropogon scoparius, Carex penslyvanica, Convolvulus spithameus, Hieracium aurantiacum. Also present Panicum ?longifolia, Panicum ?praecocius, Hieracium longipilum, Liatris aspera, Aster oolentangiensis, scattered young Pinus bankesiana and Corylus americana, some Andropogon gerardii, Sorghastrum nutans, Koeleria macrantha. Plants discovered 01 June 2007 by Ann & Scott Swengel when 1 stem was blooming. Jim & I found 2 stems blooming today and ca. 25 other smaller stems in broad linear array ca. 25 ft. long.
