Habitat:
Hardwood forest dominated by sugar maple, with white ash and basswood components. Somewhat seasonally wet. Associates included Carex pedunculata, C. intumescens, C. gracillima, and several other Carex spp, Athyrium filix-femina, sugar maple seedlings, Laportea canadensis, Arisaema atrorubens, and a Cinna sp. Much suitable habitat here.
Occurrence Remarks:
Scattered patches over a wide area in stands 140-36 and 140-11, though size of population difficult to determine at this date because past fruiting and other Carex spp present in abundance.
