Disturbed grassy opening in Acer saccharum forest, with Betula alleghaniensis, B. papyrifera, & Tsuga canadensis; assoc. Athyrium filix-femina, Rubus strigosus, & Fraxinus nigra & Acer saccharum seedlings & saplings Loose clumps of 10, 10, 24, & 42 culms. Gls. 2.4-3.2 mm long.
