Georeference Remarks: Latitude/Longitude was derived from the Township, Range, Section location. This causes an imprecision.
Habitat: Southern upland forest, varying from dry-mesic (upper slopes) to mesic (middle & lower slopes), the dominant trees changing from place to place within the contiguous area with respect to relative importance values; compositional transitions also apparent to the relic stand of northern mesic, hemlock-dominated forest. Steep N-facing slopes with low cliffs and conglomerate boulders overlying (Upper Cambrian) Galesville Sandstone, S shore of river. Bouldery stream course in bottom of ravine with trickle of flowing water, in area of relic hemlock (Tsuga canadensis) stand, with Cystopteris bulbifera, Athyrium angustum, Arisaema triphyllum, Pilea pumila, and Circaea lutetiana & C. alpina side-by-side. The spp. collected were immediately associated: Athyrium, Adiantum pedatum, Cystopteris, Leersia virginica, Carex amphibola var. turgida, C. gracillima, Pilea, Mitella diphylla, & Galium triflorum.
