Habitat: Dry upland hardwood stand with conifers, top edge of W-facing limestone cliff and steep slope below. Soil: Kewaunee fine sandy loam. Quercus alba-Pinus strobus, with Tilia americana below, Juniperus virginiana above; both with Prunus serotina. Additional data for 7599-7601: NW-facing, gentler lower slope along road, with Dryopteris spinulosa, Adiantum pedatum, Oryzopsis racemosa, Hepatica americana, Carex deweyana, Botrychium virginianum, Quercus borealis, Juglans cinerea, Galium aparine, Osmorhiza claytonii.
