Habitat:
In ca. 20 acre cornfield (Zea mays), in dense stand with Setaria viridis, S. faberi, Digitaria sanguinalis and Abutilon theophrasti along edge of cornfield but forming an especially dense stand within the field where herbicides had eliminated the other panicoid grasses and the broadleaf weeds. Common. Seems not to be present in an adjacent cornfield just across a narrow farm road. Erect or strongly ascending except where bent down by its own weight, 1-2 m tall. Sheet 2 of 2.
